What it is
Reflexology is a time-tested practice. Using the thumbs and fingers, the practitioner applies targeted pressure to reflex points on the feet, hands and ears. Each point is mapped to a different area or system of the body.
Rather than focusing on one symptom, reflexology aims to support the whole body. It encourages relaxation and circulation and supports your body's natural ability to rebalance.
Who it may help
Reflexology may support you if you want to:
- Reduce stress and tension, and help your nervous system shift into "rest-and-digest" mode
- Rest and sleep more deeply
- Support healthy circulation and lymph flow
- Ease everyday aches, including tired hands and feet
- Feel more energized and restored
- Complement a nutrition or hormone-balancing program, such as Metabolic Balance®
It's non-invasive and deeply relaxing, a great first session if you're new to holistic therapies.
Reflexology is a complementary therapy. It is not a substitute for medical diagnosis or treatment.
What a session is like
- You relax, fully clothed, in a warm, quiet room. Only your feet (and/or hands) are worked on.
- Short sessions can focus on hands or feet. Longer sessions cover both.
- Most people feel calm and relaxed afterward, and some feel sleepy. Clients often mention leaving with relaxed hands and feet. Read what clients say.
