What it is
Tuning fork therapy uses precisely calibrated tuning forks to introduce specific sound frequencies at key points on the body. The forks are struck and placed on or near the body: along the spine (over the chakras), over joints, or held in the surrounding energy field. The vibration travels through tissue, fluid and bone.
Clients often describe it as settling: a soft hum that seems to reach places words and touch alone can't quite get to.
Who it may help
A session may support:
- Nervous-system calm. The steady tone gives an overtaxed system something simple to settle around, encouraging a shift out of "fight-or-flight".
- Muscle and joint ease. Near tight or restricted areas, vibration may help tissue soften.
- Mental clarity. Many clients notice a quieting of mental noise that lasts into the rest of the day.
- Energetic balance. This work rests on the idea that the body has its own rhythm, and it aims to restore alignment, not impose it.
Tuning fork therapy is a relaxation and complementary practice, not a medical treatment.
What a session is like
You relax, fully clothed, on a treatment table while the forks are placed on or near your body. Sessions are quiet and unhurried.
